With the controversies and buzz regarding the Amir's New Film Peepali Live , it has been proved that Amir promote his films very well.He knows the tactics how to generate interest of public in their films and create curiosity regarding the film.
For example Peepali Live's song "Mehangai..." was released on the time when the country was talking reg the Mehangai and Bharat Bandh was called.
After that there was some teaser of the film was released and controversies regarding the lyrics and singer payment flared up which was resulted in a gala music launch by the same group and Amir himself.The payment of Rs. 6 Lac was given to the folk group.
Now the whole world is talking and showing interest in Peepali Live.

Is this a new trend India? I remember (while I was in India this Jan) the whole incident about three idiots. On NDTV news there was a heated argument between the author of the book and screen writer & the producer. All I heard was; The author "read the book watch the movie" and the director; "watch the movie read the book". Subsequently it was linked to student ragging incident. All in all the movie was on headlines all the time - which I guess worked in the end.
